  2. Oh what a beautiful macaw, Tammy!
    Actually their beaks should look that way, if they are healthy.
    They sharpen and groom their beaks by scraping them on trees/perches, etc.
    If they’re healthy, they’ll do this. If not, their beaks become overgrown and can actually pierce their chest.
    He is a true beauty!

    • You taught me something new, I did not know that about the beaks! He is a beauty and man was he posing for me. He usually turns around when I point the camera at him. Thanks Lisa!
