Love how the morning light made these weeds glow!
Went for a short cold walk out at Haworth Park. This is along the Missouri River which divides the state of Nebraska from Iowa. The bridge you see is the only toll bridge in the Omaha metro area. We saw a few eagles flying high, but otherwise just a few geese. Felt good to get out. Today we are under ice storm warnings so inside again. I am using this picture for week 2 of the Petapixels challenge: Straight from the camera. The only thing I did for this was resize it for the web.
Even with the 60 degree temps the parks were empty (probably because it was really muddy with the melting snow). My poor dogs were a mess, but they were really happy!
Just wait another day and most of this white stuff will be gone. With temps climbing into the 40’s and 50’s for the next few days, the snow will be melting fast! Thought you would enjoy one last view of our winter wonderland.
Winter time always is a little extra work. I think I will keep my hubby, he is the best! 🙂
Well we got another 4.5″ of snow this morning which left it looking like a winter wonderland again. Even with no color the trees are amazingly beautiful!
The last one for today…I promise! Then I will be all caught up! A glorious ending to a cold but beautiful day!
On my ride I went over to Walnut Creek where I usually walk in the morning. First time ever there was not a soul there. Loved sitting in the car and enjoying the silence and beauty!
After a very mild winter we got our first real measurable amount of snow – 8″. The snow left some beautiful scenes, but treacherous roads. I managed to get out a bit for some pictures though!
